‘Taj Foods – the rice people’ inspiring new rice stories as they enter Australia’s Food Sport Arena
Every grain has a story. That statement will be put to the test this year at Australia’s Food Sport event, World Food Championships Australia, thanks to our sponsors Taj Foods and their Rice brands – SunGrow and TAJ.
Taj is an Australian family-owned and run, company established in the 1970’s and now proud sponsor of the World Food Championships Australia. A leader in Basmati rice with their TAJ and White Tiger brands, Taj Foods has grown to also offer frozen vegetables, frozen herbs, snacks, and organic foods among other grocery products. SunGrow Medium Grain White Rice is ranged in all Woolworths stores nationally.
TAJ Basmati Rice and SunGrow Rice varieties will give competitors an array of choices to create exciting world recipes and a championship winning dish. WFCA’s competitors who advance to the finals will be challenged to create a winning dish, for a chance to win the Golden Ticket Entry straight into the 2022 qualifying event in Dallas TX.
“We are really looking forward to seeing the diversity this will provide in the Finals round of the WFCA,” said Belinda Markoski, Director of Partnerships of WFCA. “Most people will see rice as an everyday ingredient, and we look forward to the qualifying champs creating something innovative with these ingredient’s and shake it up a bit.”
